How to prepare for a mobile ultrasound in Las Vegas

By HDS Mobile Ultrasound ·

Preparation depends on your exact exam. Ask HDS for the instructions for your appointment before changing your eating, drinking or medication routine.

Ultrasound exams do not all use the same preparation. Some may require fasting; others may require water and a full bladder. These are examples, not directions for your appointment.

  • What exam is being done, and which body area?
  • Should I eat and drink normally?
  • If a full bladder is needed, how much water and when?
  • Is a clinician's order needed, and how should I share it securely?

Medication questions

Do not stop prescribed medication based on a general guide. Ask your treating clinician and HDS how any instructions fit your routine. This article is general information, not individualized medical advice.

Getting your Las Vegas home or office ready

Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being examined. Arrange a private space, clear the path and secure pets. For apartments, condos or gated communities, share gate codes, elevator access and parking details privately when HDS confirms your visit.

Arrange your Las Vegas visit

Choose your area, exam and preferred date in the request form. Do not send medical records or sensitive medical details. HDS will contact you to confirm availability, requirements and costs; a request is not a confirmed appointment.
